Lauren is a past VIS Scholarship holder and won Australia’s first Olympic gold medal for Taekwondo at the Sydney 2000 Games.
She completed her PhD on athlete lifestyle and mindset where her work won both the Vice Chancellor’s Prize and the Deputy Vice Chancellor's Prize for Research Impact.
Lauren is the Wellbeing and Engagement Manager at CombatAUS and an Adjunct Fellow at Southern Cross University.
In 2025, Lauren joined the Board as Chair.
