The VIS Nutrition team includes leading Sports Dietitians with extensive experience in the high-performance sport environment. They deliver an innovative and proactive program of dietary support and education to assist athletes to maximise their health and optimise performance.

The Nutrition team work to empower our athletes to be self-sufficient by providing evidence based, individualised nutrition advice and practical strategies that are sport specific and targeted toward achieving their goals.
How Nutrition Services help our athletes?
The Nutrition team provide the following nutrition services to our athletes across all sports:
- Individualised assessments and periodised nutrition plans
- Competition nutrition advice and plans
- Group workshops and education
- Supplement advice & protocols
- Hydration testing and plans
- Anthropometry monitoring
- Nutrition support to assist rehabilitation from injury
- Travel nutrition advice
- Food service support
- Nutrition education and support for coaches and other service providers

Please note: The VIS Nutrition Department does not currently offer private consultations to non-VIS athletes
VIS Nutrition Trainee
The VIS Nutrition department offers a one-year Internship for Provisional or Accredited Sports Dietitians who may be interested in a career in sports nutrition.
This unpaid position is for a minimum of 4-8 hours per week and is a fabulous opportunity for someone wishing to gain valuable experience working in a sports nutrition department with elite athletes.
Applications open in May each year.
