VIS shooter, James Willett won the Nandi Rossi Memorial - International Division at the Umbriaverde Shooting range in Italy against a field of 373 competitors.
Shooting 98/100 in qualification, Willett then went on to shoot 46/50 in fading light of the final to take the win.
Meanwhile, fellow VIS scholarship holder Sergei Evglevski took the gold medal in the individual and teams rapid fire event at the first Indonesian shooting championships.
