Iles wins Silver at Junior World Cup

VIS shotgun athlete Mitch Iles has just returned from a very successful Junior World Cup in Suhl Germany.

Mitch made it into the final, qualifying in 4th position and then went on to win silver - scoring 41/50. Iles then went on to partner with junior athletes Thomas Armstrong and Adam Bylsma in the Team Trap event and took home silver.

Iles’s silver medal in the individual event then qualified him for the Junior Super Cup. The Super Cup selected the gold and silver medallists from the last 3 junior competitions to compete in a “best of the best” Super Cup.

After a sudden death shoot off with a young Italian shooter, Iles came out on top to be crowned the Junior Super Cup Champion.

Aislin Jones also competed at the event, in the Women’s Junior Skeet. Jones qualified through day one and two, to see her finish with a score of 112 placing 8th overall.
