VIS track & field athletes enjoyed some success at the Oceania Invitational in Townsville over the weekend.
Long Jumpers Chris Mitrevski and Henry Smith competed well with Mitrevski placing first with a jump of 7.69m and Smith placing second with 7.25m.
Paralympian Claire Keefer had a strong performance in the women’s shot-put F41 with a throw of 9.89m.
Meanwhile, the VIS’s own Luke Mathews has competed in the 1500m over in Nancy France for a World Championships qualifier, finishing in 4th place but unfortunately missing the qualifying time by a mere .03 of a second.
