VIS skateboarders Brad Saunders and Hayley Wilson made history over the weekend competing at the XGames in Sydney.
VIS scholarship holder Hayley Wilson at the age of 16 as the only Australian female representative showed she had what it takes to compete on the big stage finishing 6th in the Women’s Skateboard Street Final on Friday. A score of 72.00 in her last run made for her second highest XGames score and secured sixth position.
Meanwhile, Victorian Institute of Sport’s Brad Saunders competed in the Men’s Skateboard Street qualifiers as the youngest male in the field. After three runs he finished in 16th position at his first ever XGames.
