How our Youth Olympians went

Laura Paeglis (Archery) 

Paeglis finished her first day of competition with a respectable ranking and is currently sitting in 22nd position with a score of 629. She has now advanced to the 1/16 Elimination Round of the Women’s Recurve Individual and will compete against Elia Canales of Spain  late tonight.

Paeglis finished 17th with team mate Youssof Tolba (EGY) in the Mixed Teams Event in the 1/16 Elimination Round going down to Agustina Sofia Giannasio (ARG) and Aitthiwat Soithong (THA) 144 – 132.

 

Indianna Robertson – Hockey

Australia’s Hockey 5’s team bounced back from yesterday’s quarter final disappointment, securing a commanding win in their 5th-8th playoff bracket. 

The women’s team took care of Namibia 5-1 to set up the 5th place playoff with Austria. Australia ended up finishing 5th in the competition after beating Austria 3-0.
