At the conclusion of the Para-cycling World Cup, two VIS athletes have been crowned series winners in Canada last week. Carol Cooke claimed her title with a gold in the T2, whilst Stuart Tripp also sealed victory with a gold in the MH6 Road Race.
Cooke cruised home in her Time Trial to win by over 30 seconds to lock herself in as the World Cup series Champion. Cooke also placed 3rd in the Women’s Road Race.
To top off the fantastic results, VIS scholarship holder Hannah Macdougall rode herself to victory in the Women’s Time Trial with a time of 30:20.48 and then backing it up with a silver in the Women’s Road Race.
Alistair Donohoe was another VIS athlete among the medals, winning dual silver in both the C5 Time Trial and the C5 Road Race. His two silvers makes him the runner up in the Men’s Elite C5 Road para rankings by 8 points.
