Plapp now a dual even Junior World Champion

Victorian Institute of Sport track cyclist, Luke Plapp, is now a World Junior Track dual gold medallist winning both the Men’s Points Race and the Men’s Madison in Aigle, Switzerland.

In exciting fashion, Plapp crossed the line in the Point Races with a big smile on his face, knowing he had just become the new World Junior Champion.

However, his double delight came on the last day of the championships when he and his teammate, Blake Quick, were victorious in the Men’s Madison.

In other cycling news, VIS scholarship holder Jacob Schmid won silver in the Men’s Keirin at the 2018 24th International Cycling Meeting for Sprint & Omnium in Dudenhofen, Germany.
