Victorian Institute of Sport diver, Anabelle Smith, has backed up her Commonwealth Games bronze medal with a World Series bronze medal in the Women’s 3m Synchronised at Montreal, Canada over the weekend.
After just missing the final in the 3m springboard, Smith put it behind her and turned her attention to the synchronised 3m.
After a shaky start, Smith and her Australian teammate Qin found themselves in last position, until three consistent dives (67.50, 67.50, 66.60) got them across the line and the bronze medal.
Smith was happy with yet another bronze medal next to her name.
“Bronze at the 3rd leg of the World Series with Esther Qin, competing against the top six synchro teams in the world, gotta be happy with that.” Smith posted via her twitter account.
The next and final leg of the FINA World Series, is set to take place in Kazan, Russia from 4 to 6 May.
