Four more round out the Athletics squad

Commonwealth Games Australia has welcomed four additional VIS athletes to finalise the athletics squad for Gold Coast 2018.

This brings the total number of VIS track & field representatives to 17.

Morgan Mitchell will bring experience to the team, having competed at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Mitchell has been selected for the Woman’s 400m as well as the 4x400m team.

Genevieve LaCaze has also been selected to compete at her second Commonwealth Games, after missing automatic qualification due to injury, her earlier ‘A’ qualifying time earnt her a spot to represent Australian in the 3000m steeplechase.

Two VIS scholarship holders will be making their debut at the Commonwealth Games including Joel Baden (High Jumper) and Joseph Deng (800m).
