The Australian U23 National Road Team have performed a clean sweep of the podium at the Toscana Terra di Ciclismo Eroica in Italy on Saturday.
VIS cyclist, Lucas Hamilton, was integral in the team’s performance, taking 3rd place on the podium alongside his Australian teammates Jai Hindley and Robert Stannard.
In an aggressive ride, the Australian team controlled much of the race, with Hamilton well positioned to contest the sprint to the finish. Hamilton’s podium finish, his fifth in a row for this European racing block, was an outstanding performance.
The Australian U23 team is now looking ahead to their next race, the UCI Europe Tour Rhone Alpes Isere in a few days.
