Sinnott sensational in Myanmar

Todd Sinnott has continued the long and proud VIS tradition of producing winners on the professional golf circuit with his breakthrough win in Asia.

Just two weeks after earning his ticket to play on the Asian Tour the 24 year old from Essendon has claimed the Burma Open by a comfortable three strokes from Spain Carlos Pigem.

Sinnott moved into contention at the Pun Hlaing Golf Club in Yangon with a third-round 64 that included a stunning eagle on the par-4 14th when he hit his driver 327m to 3m before sinking the putt.

He showed no signs of nerves on Sunday, opening with birdies on two of the first three holes.

After further birdies at the 10th, 13th and 14th, Sinnott established a three-shot lead.

He sealed his win with a birdie at the par-5 18th to sign for a closing round of 65.
