Tighello appointed assistant cycling coach

The VIS is pleased to announce that Rob Tighello has been appointed the new VIS Cycling Assistant Coach (Road).

Rob comes to the VIS with an impressive cycling palmarès including Australian Road Champion; Winner of the Tour Down Under King of the Mountain jersey; Australian Open Sprint Champion and national team member.

Rob has also previously held DS positions with the professional road cycling teams Drapac and Drapac- Pat’s Veg.

The key aspects of Rob’s role being to provide advanced technical and tactical coaching for athletes in the VIS road cycling squad and to attend and carry out DS duties at identified NRS, VRS and national road selection events.

Rob is starting immediately with the VIS and will be attending the Bay Criteriums over the Christmas and New Year period and the National Road Race Championships in early January.
