Three divers book tickets to Rio

Three VIS athletes have been named in the diving section of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team.

London Olympian Anabelle Smith will strive for glory in the 3m springboard synchro event, alongside partner Maddison Keeney while James Connor has been selected in the 10m platform and Grant Nel will compete in the 3m springboard.

For rookie Nel, the Olympic dream has been realised after almost two decades in the sport, “It’s a dream come true. I’ve competed at many international events in the past 19 years, but this is the pinnacle,” the South African-born diver said.
