Games in sight for taekwondo sisters

VIS taekwondo sisters are both likely to gain selection to the Olympic team after winning gold at the Oceania Qualification Tournament in Port Moresby

The Marton family will be celebrating after two-time Olympian, Carmen Marton (-67kg) and older sister Caroline (-57kg) are both likely to gain selection to the Olympic team after winning gold at the Oceania Qualification Tournament in Port Moresby last week.

Twenty nine year old Carmen will be eager to improve on her fifth placing at the 2012 Olympics, and will be going into the competition as a gold medal contender following her outstanding World Championship victory in 2013.

Carmen’s husband, Safwan Khalil (-58kg) is also a member of the four person Australian team to be nominated to compete at the Games.
