Miriana was a former Australian Gymnastics team member and switched to aerial skiing in 2020. She was in the national gymnastics squad and in 2018 was awarded Victoria's High Performance Gymnast of the Year.
Until 2023, she had only performed her jumps in the gym and a water ramp, which made her fourth place finish at the Junior World Championships even more impressive being her first season on snow.
