What sport did you hold a scholarship for at VIS: Canoe
Tell us about your life after your time as an athlete at the VIS?
I last competed at a World Championship in 2017. Since then, I have shifted careers from Engineering and Coaching to becoming a qualified Secondary School Math's teacher. I am now working at Ivanhoe Grammar in this field, also being the Head of the Kayaking Program building the next generation of canoe slalom athletes.
What’s the one career achievement you’re most proud of?
I'm proud of making the well-being and lifestyle choice to become a teacher.
What’s the most valuable lesson you learnt during your career as an athlete at the VIS?
I learnt the importance of balancing being an athlete with life outside of sport, and transferring skills from sport into my next career.
