Yakitori is a Japanese word that translates to dish of chicken pieces grilled on a skewer. This is a common street food in Japan but there are many Yakitori bars too!

Yakitori is a dish that is typically served with other sides like fresh vegetables, miso, and rice to make a well-balanced meal, although can be eaten by itself too. 

This dish for Todd is a versatile dish that can be paired with a range of different side dishes to complement it to meet the requirements Todd would have depending on his training sessions.

On days when Todd would have a lighter training session, he would be able to pair his yakitori with some fresh vegetables.

When he has a higher intensity training day, he could easily add some rice to the dish to provide both carbohydrates and protein that he requires for recovery.
