Marton caps off impressive year

VIS Individual Scholarship holder in Taekwondo, Jack Marton competed in Moscow, Russia on Friday at his first season ending Grand Prix Final.

At the 4 previous Grand Prix competitions held during, the year the top 32 ranked in the four Olympic classes are invited, but the season ending Grand Prix Final is limited to the top 16.

Marton, fighting in the under 80kg Olympic class, had a difficult draw first up against World No. 4 - Nikita RafalOvich from Uzbekistan.

Although Marton was outclassed in his fight and was eliminated, qualification for this event caps off a great 2019 that also included a top 8 finish at the 2019 World Championships in the -74kg division.
