VIS Alumna recognised in Queens Birthday Honours

Congratulations to former VIS Chair Kate Palmer (2010 – 2016) and former VIS Aerial Skiing athlete Alisa Camplin who were recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Sport Australia Chief Executive Kate Palmer has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her services to sport, recognition for a sport administration career that has spanned more than 30 years.

Alisa Camplin OAM was appointed a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for significant service to the community through support of paediatric health care.

Congratulations also to VIS Diving Coach Andy Banks who was recently awarded an MBE for his contribution to diving. Banks coached Great Britain's Tom Daley to bronze at the London Olympic Games and Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow to gold at the European Championships.
