Training Program
The divers train on average between 9 and 12 sessions per week depending on their training and competition phases. Training consists of many facets that includes but not limited to water training, strength and conditionging, dryland training, gymnastics based training, flexibility and recovery.

VIS divers are invited to attend Diving Victoria camps from time to time, as well as attending Diving Australia camps, where they have access to exceptional facilities to further enhance their training. Several members of the squad are also members of the respective national training squads, which allow them to train in Brisbane with the rest of the other national diving members and the national coaches.

Competition Program
The principle goal of the VIS Diving program is to place Victorian elite diving athletes into the National Squads and Teams. The performance focus of the program is high level performance at National and International competitions. All divers in the squad compete in National competitions.

VIS Diving History
In 2004/05, we have had athletes competing at the Athens Olympics, World Championships and World University Games. The highlight was the Gold medal in the individual 10 metre platform achieved by Chantelle Newbery in Athens. Loudy Tourky took bronze in the same event while Chantelle and Irina Lashko combined to take bronze in the 3 metre springboard synchronised event. At World Championships, Loudy took out the silver in the 10 metre platform event and Loudy and Chantelle teamed to take silver in the synchronised 10 metre event. At the World University games, Bree Cole and Amey Moors-Chantry combined to win bronze in the 3 metre springboard synchronised diving event.
