Program Overview
The VIS Cycling Program consists of several structured sub-programs, which include an exciting group of world-class athletes in road, track, mountain bike and BMX. These programs often overlap in an endeavour to produce the highest standard athletes.
 
Athlete Pathway
Scholarships are offered to talented cyclists from Victoria in-line with the VIS scholarship selection criteria.

Track Scholarships
New Scholarship term: 1 April - 31 March
Applications for Track Scholarships for 2009/10 are currently closed.

*All athletes must be Australian citizens and Victorian residents.

Road Scholarships
Scholarship term: 1 November - 31 October
Application for Road Scholarship are currently open with applications closing on October 5, 2009.
Current scholarship holders do not need to re-apply.

Training Program
With an extensive track and road preparation, VIS riders also spend many hours in the weights room building strength and power. Riders develop through their pre-season training and early events in Australia, prior to joining our national and other international teams for their European campaigns.
