Eccles turns luck around to finish 3rd

Sunday, 19 November 2017

Ben Eccles has fought back against some tough luck at the NSW Open to finish 3rd.

Eccles finished the first nine holes two over (38) putting himself in an awkward position. Despite fighting back with a string of birdies, it was too late for Eccles to make a run at the title.

Fellow VIS scholarship holders Zach Murray, Brett Coletta, and Jack Wilson finished T14th, T18th, and T22nd.

Jason Scrivener took out the tournament, his first win since 2007.

Ben Eccles and Brett Coletta will aim to continue their good form next weekend at the Australian Open. While Zach Murray will be aiming to qualify for the tournament later today.
