As a result of a restructure, the VIS is seeking an experienced, passionate high performance professional, who is an achievement-oriented communicator, to manage sport program Head Coaches & Program Managers & the Individual scholarship program ensuring the continual progression and improvement of athletes to achieve results at benchmark events. You will also take the internal lead on AWE sport program strategies and implementation.
Reporting to the Performance Director and based at the VIS headquarters at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park, the Performance Manager (Podium) must possess the capacity to devise, understand and adapt “world leading practice” with innovation and daring to have a performance impact. To be successful in this busy role you will be outcome oriented and able to multi-task, with extensive international high performance coaching or management experience thus demonstrating an understanding of the requirements of elite athletes and coaches.
As a member of the management team the role will contribute to the implementation of the VIS strategic plan and organisational capability required to deliver results.
A strong emphasis will be placed on the successful applicant having demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, and experience of working in a multi disciplinary team environment.
