VIS sailors have shone at the hotly contested Sailing World Cup Melbourne, the final event on the World Cup circuit for 2016.

In the 49erFX class, Tess Lloyd and Eliza Solly won their medal race to take the gold. The VIS pair sailed consistently all week, winning three of the six races in the preliminary series.

In the junior events, new VIS sailing recruits, Nick Joel and Hugo Llewelyn, finished first in the youth 420 class while Nick Sharman and James Grogan finished 7 points behind in second place.
