The VIS Resource Centre provides access to information, reference and research support for VIS coaches, administrators, sports medicine/sports science providers and support staff.

The Resource Centre has developed and expanded since opening in early 1994, especially with searches on both the Internet and Sport Discus.

The Resource Centre holds over 100 journal titles, including various newsletters and bulletins. The journals are highly utilised, as they are relevant and timely.

Videos form a part of the Resource Centre’s collection, covering such areas as coaching and athlete development issues, training, and the Olympics. The Resource Centre has over 200 videos, a long list of relevant Internet addresses, and a strong searching capability, which includes the AIS library in Canberra, Telnet, and other library databases and sources.

The Resource Centre also has access to the Sport Discus database which provides a guide to indexes and bibliographies covering over 47,500 books, conference proceedings, dissertations, and journal articles, and a microfilm collection from 17 different countries.
