The VIS Athlete Speakers’ Program provides community groups, schools, and corporate organisations with access to some of the best athlete presenters in Victoria. Athletes involved in the program are of national and international significance, have received professional training in public speaking and are experienced in delivering quality presentations to suit the need of any audience. In addition to verbal presentations on various topics, athletes are utilised at numerous types of events.

• Overcoming set-backs and adversity
• Achieving a balanced lifestyle
• Physical activity as part of an active and healthy lifestyle
• Succeeding at the Olympics, Paralympics and other sporting events

• Curriculum Days
• Award Nights
• VCE Functions
• Sports Functions
• Staff Professional Development
• Conferences

How to Apply
If you are interested in utilising a passionate and motivated athlete speaker please complete a VIS request form.

Fees
There is a minimum fee of $350 (plus GST) involved in the program. Athlete speaking fees are dependent on a number of factors including the athlete’s:

• Sporting achievements
• Professional training
• Experiences in public speaking

Requests are reviewed on an individual basis, with each organisation’s needs considered. Once a request is received, the VIS will contact the nominated representative to discuss potential athletes that are available and suitable for the event.
