VIS swimmer Matthew Targett has continued his run of success in the men’s 50m butterfly sprint, taking out the top spot in a time of 22.30 on the first night of finals at the FINA Short Course World Cup in Berlin.
His victory was his third consecutive win in the event following triumphs in Stockholm and Moscow.
On the second night of finals in Berlin, Targett picked up a bronze medal in the men’s 50m freestyle.
The VIS scholarship holder has set himself up as a force to be reckoned with at the Swimming World Championships in Barcelona next year.
