Hard on the heels of her convincing win in the Women’s Pair at the NSW Titles last week rower Phoebe Stanley has dominated the Women’s Single field in the Victorian State Titles at Lake Nagambie.
Last week she teamed up with Sarah Tait but this time it was all her own work as Stanley finished an astonishing 24 seconds ahead of the field.
Stanley is locked in competition with another VIS athlete, Kate Hornsey, for a place on the team bound for London.
Olympic team selections for rowing will be announced on March 20, between now and then the athletes have the National Titles in Perth and trials in Sydney.
