In conjunction with Netball Victoria (NV) and Netball Australia (NA), the VIS is seeking an experienced, accredited and passionate Netball high performance professional to lead the Melbourne Vixens and the VIS netball program.

Netball is a Tier 1 program at the VIS, providing support and services to targeted female athletes and building on what are already outstanding results, including ANZ and Australian National League Championships (Melbourne Vixens represented in the ANZ Championship and Victorian Fury in the ANL).
Based primarily out of the VIS headquarters at Albert Park, the VIS Head Coach will lead the overall development and implementation of the VIS Netball Program in partnership with Netball Victoria. The position will manage the development and implementation of all areas of player and team performance of the Melbourne Vixens and oversee the Victorian Fury as the underpinning program.
The Program is primarily aimed at achieving the following goals:
a) Identifying, developing and working with talented Netball athletes to prepare them for elite level competition and ultimately international success.
b) Success of the Melbourne Vixens and Victorian Fury teams in their respective competitions.
The position works collaboratively with Netball Australia and Netball Victoria to ensure the program compliments the national and state direction of the sport.
To ensure success in this role, you will have demonstrated experience working with elite athletes and coaches, including devising and implementing successful programs, and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the high performance requirements for athletes to aspire to and succeed at the highest international level. To complement your experience, you will also need to possess proven leadership and decision making skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound organisational and planning skills and attention to detail.
