'Walk with Me' launched at VIS

Ability First Australia’s flagship event ‘Walk With Me’ was launched here at Lakeside Stadium this morning.

The morning featured live crosses on the Channel 9 TODAY Show which involved some of our most decorated Paralympians including Jess Gallagher, Kelly Cartwright, Dylan Alcott, Melissa Tapper, Rebecca McDonnell, Jack Swift, Madeleine Hogan and Carol Cooke and a select group of kids from Scope participating in light sport-related activities.

‘Walk With Me’ aims to raise much needed funds and awareness and celebrate inclusion of people with disabilities. Scope has proudly partnered with Ability First Australia in this nationally held event taking a step towards making a difference in the lives of people with a disability.  The VIS together with the APC and our colleagues WAIS, SASI, NSWIS and QAS are supporting the 2012 events.
