A collaborative approach between Partners

The VIS ACE Program has teamed with the Professional Golfers Association of Australia (PGA) and the Victorian Golf Foundation (VGF) to provide formal golf-related education for VIS Golf Program scholarship holders.

The program provides scholarship holders with the opportunity to undertake an education program during their time with the VIS, providing new skills to complement their career in Golf.

The PGA, as a Registered Training Organisation will offer training and assessment for our golfers to attain the Nationally Accredited Qualification - Certificate III in Sport (Career Oriented Participation). The program’s goal is to equip participants with knowledge and skills relevant to building a career in the golf industry. Completion of the Certificate III in Sport with the PGA comprises 10 modules that are delivered through the PGA’s flexible e-learning platform, The Fairway.  The course offers VIS golfers a pathway and qualification that fits their golf training and competition program, while recognising the nature of elite sport and the VIS high performance Golf Program.

Importantly, the VIS has called on the generous financial support of the Victorian Golf Foundation to support the delivery of this program. The VGF in its objective of “Making Victorian Golf Even Better”, have come on board to help these young golfers attain the knowledge and skills they need to continue to make meaningful contributions to the Victorian Golf industry.

We are extremely excited that through this collaborative approach strong partnerships have been formed that are mutually beneficial to all, and importantly help our young golfers in achieving our VIS Motto of “Success in Sport and Life”.
